Example of measuring output ripple and ripple noise1.9 Isolation! For a receiving inspection, such as Hi-Pot test, gradually increase(decrease) the voltage for the start (shut down). Avoid using Hi-Pot tester with the timer because it may generate voltage a fewtimes higher than the applied voltage, at ON/OFF of a timer.!When a unit is tested for isolation between input and output, inputand FG or output and FG, short the output to all function terminals.2 Series Operation andParallel Operation2.1 Series Operation! You can use a power supply in series operation. The output currentin series operation should be lower than the rated current of apower supply with the lowest rated current among power suppliesthat are serially connected. Please make sure that no current exceedingthe rated current fl ows into a power supply. When the number of units in parallel operation increases, inputcurrent increases at the same time. Adequate wiring design forinput circuitry is required, such as circuit pattern, wiring and currentcapacity for equipment. In parallel operation, the maximum operative number of units is 6.CN1 CN2Implement H-PA-17No.1No.2No.6+ + -- FGN L+ + -- FGN L+ + -- FGN L・・・CN1 CN2(+) (-)LoadImplement H-PA-17CN1 CN2Fig.2.2 Connection method in parallel!Output voltage in parallel operation is adjustable by using the potentiometerof the“master”unit. Select one power supply to bethe master, and turn the potentiometer of the other,“slave”powersupplies, clockwise to the end. Then use the potentiometer of themaster to adjust output voltage.!In series operation or parallel operation, output voltage increaseslike stairs due to a delay of the rise time of output voltage at turnon.AC input voltageInput ONOutput voltageFig.2.3 Start-up wave form in series and/or parallel operationAEA-13
