DC-DC Converters PCB Mount TypeInstruction Manual1 Functions1.1 Input Voltage Range! If input voltage value doesn’t fall within specifi cations, a unit maynot operate in accordance with specifi cations and/or fail.1.2 Overcurrent Protection!Overcurrent protection is built-in and comes into effect at over105% of the rated current.Overcurrent protection prevents the unit from short circuit andovercurrent condition. The unit automatically recovers when thefault condition is cleared.1.3 Isolation! For a receiving inspection, such as Hi-Pot test, increase (decrease)the voltage gradually for a start (shut down). Avoid usingHi-Pot tester with timer because it may generate voltage a fewtimes higher than the applied voltage, at ON/OFF of a timer.!In the case of use in locations exposed to constant voltage betweenprimary and secondary is applied, please contact us.1.4 Output Voltage Adjustment Range! The output voltage is adjustable through an external potentiometer.Adjust only within the range of +10%, -5% of the rated voltage.!To increase the output voltage, turn the potentiometer so that theresistance value between 2 and 3 becomes small.!Please use a wire as short as possible to connect to the potentiometerand connect it from the pin on the power supply side. Temperaturecoeffi cient deteriorates when some types of resistors andpotentiometers are used. Please use the following types.Resistor Metal Film Type, Temperature Coefficient of±100ppm/C or belowPotentiometer Cermet Type, Temperature Coefficient of±300ppm/C or below! If output voltage adjustment is not required, open the TRM pin.!In the case of dual output,±voltages are adjusted simultaneously.Table 1.1 List of External DevicesConstant of External Device [W]Output Voltage(Adjustable within +10%, -5%)VRR1R23.3V1k6801505V1k2.7k56012V5k15k2.4k15V5k15k1.2k±12V5k22k470±15V5k27k4701.5 Remote ON/OFF(Excluding 1R5)!You can turn the power supply ON or OFF without turning inputpower ON or OFF through the pin terminal RC.!Please keep the voltage level of the pin terminal RC(VRC) at 9.0Vor below.ExternalCircuit+VinRC3.3k3.3k-VinControlCircuitFig.1.2 Internal Circuits of Remote ON/OFF+VinRC-Vin+Vin-VinInput 5V Input 12V Input 24, 48VFig.1.3 Examples of Using an External Remote ON/OFF CircuitRCTable 1.2 Pin Specifi cation of Remote ON/OFF+VinVoltage Level of the pin terminal RC (VRC)MU3/6/10 OutputOpen or Short or 0V [ VRC [ 0.3VON2.0V [ VRC [ 9.0VOFFRC-Vin+VoutTRM-VoutOutputExternalResistor R11External VR23ExternalResistor R2(a) Single OutputLoad+Vout1TRM2COM3-VoutOutputFig.1.1 Connecting External DevicesExternalResistor R1External VRExternalResistor R2(b) Dual OutputLoadLoad!2 Wiring to Input/OutputPin2.1 Wiring Input Pin(1) External fuse!Fuse is not built-in on input side.
