1. What is CCC?

CCC (China Compulsory Certificate system) is a mandatory product certification system in China. This system was implemented on May 1, 2002 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA). It aims to ensure the safety and EMC compliance of products sold within China.

When first introduced, the CCC scheme covered 19 categories and 132 product items (including electronic and electrical products, components, materials, and vehicles). Continuous additions have been made since then, and as of January 2018, 20 categories and 158 items fall under the scope of mandatory certification.
Whether a product is subject to CCC is determined based on its HS code classification.

Products requiring CCC certification must display the CCC mark shown in Figure 1.

2. Compliance Status of Our Products

(1) Power Supply

1) Power supplies subject to CCC

The following power supplies require CCC certification. 
These products must obtain certification as standalone power supplies.

Switching power supplies with input/output voltages of 36 V or higher used in small computers or servers.
HS code: 8504.40-13 (Static converters; voltage-stabilized power supplies for equipment of heading 84.71)

Rectifiers other than silicon rectifiers
HS code: 8504.40-19 (Other power supply units)

2) COSEL's products

Our products are off-the-shelf power supplies and are intended to be used as components in final equipment; therefore, they are not subject to CCC certification.

AC-DC power supply： HS code: 8504.40-1102 (Silicon rectifiers)
DC-DC power supply： HS code: 8504.40-9001 (Others)

(2) EMI Filter

There is no category for EMI filters in the CCC scheme; therefore, no applicable product is defined.
EMI Filter： HS code： 8504.90 (partial components)

(3) Others (Optional parts)

Optional part are not categorized as CCC applicable items.
Optional Harness： HS code: 8544.42-2003
Power cables fitted with connectors, for a voltage not exceeding 1,000 V.

3. When Your Equipment Requires CCC Certification

If the equipment into which our products are incorporated requires CCC certification, our products will be evaluated as part of the complete system.
We will provide any documentation necessary for certification upon request.
