Q&A(FAQ) What effects can occur when operating outside its input voltage specification?

The power supply has a specified input voltage range. Operating the unit outside this range may cause the problems described below. Therefore, operation outside the specified input voltage range is not permitted.

1. Operation below the specified input voltage range

The power supply is generally not able to operate below the specified input voltage range. Even if the unit appears to operate, it may be damaged because the increased input current can exceed the rated current of the internal components.

2. Operation above the specified input voltage range

If the power supply is operated above the specified input voltage range, it may be damaged because the voltage applied to certain internal components can exceed their rated voltage.
