Q&A(FAQ) What Are the Effects of Operating Outside the Specified Ambient Temperature Range?
The power supply is designed to operate within a specified ambient temperature range. Operating outside this range may cause the problems described below. Therefore, the power supply must not be used under conditions that exceed the specified operating temperature range.
1. When the power supply is used below the specified temperature range
In this case, the power supply may fail to start up or may repeatedly cycle between output and shutdown. Even if it does start up, it may not meet its specifications; for example, the output voltage may become unstable, and both ripple and ripple noise may increase.
2. When the power supply is used above the specified temperature range
In this case, the temperature of the internal components will exceed their specifications, and the power supply may be damaged.
