How to use Remote Control Function with -R option?
(Enclosed and Open frame type Power Supply)
This section explains the general usage of the remote control function (-R option) for COSEL’s enclosed-type and open Frame-type power supplies.
With the remote control (-R option), the output can be turned ON or OFF by applying a DC voltage from an external power source (separate from the main unit) to the remote-control connector. Dedicated harnesses are available for each model. For details, please refer to the optional parts section.

The table below shows an example of the specifications for the remote on/off conditions.
In this example, applying 4.5 to 12.5 V between the RC pin and the RCG pin turns the power supply on.
| Internal resistor is different depends on the product |
Voltage between RC and RCG [V] | Current [mA] | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Output ON | Output OFF | ||
| 4.5~12.5 | 0~0.5 | (20max) | |
When the external voltage is between 4.5 and 12.5 V, no additional external resistor is required.
When using more than 12.5 V for remote on/off control, a current-limiting resistor must be added externally.
The following formula shows how to calculate the value of the current-limiting resistor.

* The information provided here describes the general remote control function. Some models may use different types of remote-control circuits, such as non-isolated types or logic‑inverted types. For detailed specifications, please refer to the instruction manual.
