Application Guide Caution for Safety and Products PRODUCTS 1
In general, switch-mode power supplies are designed to operate in controlled environments (e.g., offices). Therefore, special precautions may be required depending on the actual operating environment.
1.Environment where some measures need to be taken
(1)Water/Humidity

If water enters the power supply during operation, it may cause failure. Appropriate waterproofing measures should be taken in such environments.
(2)Dust

Operating the unit in a dusty environment may cause the fan to fail. Please consider implementing appropriate dust‑proofing measures.
(3)Gas

Exposure to corrosive gases may cause the unit to fail.
2. Recommended Measures
The following measures are recommended when units are used in the environments described above:
- 1.Environments where the unit may be exposed to water or high humidity
- (1)Use a semi-standard “C” coated model.
- (2)Use a reinforced version of the semi-standard C model (minor-modification type).
- 2.Environments where conductive objects may enter the unit
- (1)Install an air filter on the exhaust section.
- (2)Use a semi-standard “C” coated model.
- (3)Use a reinforced version of the semi-standard C model (minor-modification type).
- (4)Apply tubing and silicone rubber to high‑voltage areas.
- (5)Attach isolation covers to high‑voltage areas.
- 3.Environments where corrosive gases may be present
- (1)Certain corrosive gases may cause the unit to fail. Please contact us for details.
TPlease note that the above measures may not be sufficient for all environments.
